Dreaming of People

Dreaming about your ex is extremely common and does not necessarily mean you wish to get back together. These dreams can reflect ongoing emotional processing, relationship patterns you need to understand, or qualities you associate with that person and are seeking in your current life.

This type of dream is often a natural process of grief and reconciliation with loss. It can also symbolize a message from your unconscious related to the values or teachings of that person. Some spiritual traditions see it as a form of communication with the deceased, but psychology views it primarily as important inner work.

According to Jung, strangers in our dreams generally represent unknown or unexplored aspects of our own personality. A stranger of the same sex may represent your shadow (repressed traits), while a stranger of the opposite sex may represent your anima or animus (your inner feminine or masculine side).
